HIGHLIGHTS | Mungret St Pauls prove too strong for Cappamore in capturing the premier intermediate championship

MUNGRET St Pauls were in imperious form at the TUS Gaelic Grounds in securing the premier intermediate title on Sunday afternoon.

The win came at the expense of Cappamore with the city side full value for a 4-17 to 1-12 win.

Brian O’Meara found the net after eight minutes with Niall Mulcahy’s second quarter goal giving Mungret a ten point advantage at the short whistle.

Mulcahy doubled his scoring tally before Brian Barry rounded off the goalscoring late on with a brilliant finish.

It brings an end to 31 years without senior hurling for the City outfit making up for the defeat in the 2020 PIHC Final.
