EMPLOYERS in Limerick are being encouraged to sign up to a pilot programme to trial the effectiveness of a four-day week. Four Day Week Ireland made a presentation to the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Enterprise, Trade and Employment on the pilot programme recently. To date, almost 20 companies have signed up to the programme which will introduce a four-day week over a six-month period starting next February. The scheme includes business supports to help organisations explore flexible working options. More details are available at www.fourdayweek.ie
