Man killed in Bunratty road traffic collision

A MAN in his 40s was killed following a single vehicle road traffic collision on the N18 at Bunratty on Friday, October 15.

The collision, involving a jeep towing a trailer, occurred at approximately 2.10pm. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to University Hospital Limerick where a postmortem will take place at a later date. 

A technical examination is currently being conducted by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Investigating gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. They are particularly appealing to any road users who were travelling on this road at the time with camera footage to make this available to them.
