JUST four teams remain in the Limerick Senior Hurling and Football Championships.
Hurling
The TUS Gaelic Grounds is set to host another huge double header of hurling next weekend with both senior semi-finals down for decision.
At 2pm, Doon will take on Kilmallock while Na Piarsaigh face Patrickswell at 4pm.
Those pairings are a repeat of the 2020 semi-finals where Doon and Na Piarsaigh prevailed. Both of those sides moved directly into the semi-finals with Kilmallock and Patrickswell coming through their respective quarter-finals earlier today.
The final is to be played on Sunday October 24 at 3.45pm. The Premier Intermediate hurling final between Mungret St Pauls and Cappamore will act as a curtain raiser.
The Intermediate Hurling semi-finals will take place in a double header in Newcastle West next Saturday with Bruree and Croagh Kilfinny throwing in at 2pm followed by the meeting of Effin and Granagh Ballingarry at 4pm.
The fifth round of the Junior A championship takes place next weekend with the top two from each group progressing to the quarter-finals.
Football
The Limerick Senior Football championship semi-finals will also be played next weekend at the same times. At 2pm in Kilmallock, Galtee Gaels will take on defending champions Adare. At 4pm, Newcastle West and Monaleen meet in Mick Neville Park.
The final of the senior football championship is down for the weekend of October 29-31.
The Limerick IFC semi-finals will be played on October 16 at 4pm. In Askeaton St Senans meet Kildimo Pallaskenry while Gerald Griffins take on Rathkeale in Newcastle West.
At the same time, Croom take on Fr Caseys in the Premier Junior semi-final at Mick Neville Park while the following day, Newcastle West take on Mountcollins at 12noon in Dromcollogher at the same time.
In the Junior A football semi-finals, Banogue face Feenagh Kilmeedy at 3pm in Ballingarry while Ballybricken Bohermore take on Camogue Rovers at 12noon in Fedamore. Both of those games take place on Sunday October 17.
