MUNSTER defeated South African side the Cell C Sharks last weekend 42 – 17 in Thomond Park in the clubs opening game of the United Rugby Championship.
Munster showcased a convincing performance over the Sharks in their maiden URC fixture in Thomond park last Saturday.
Simon Zebo made his return to the club with two tries, adding to his record as the province’s all-time leading try scorer. Munster back-row Gavin Coombes also crossed over the Sharks try-line twice, both tries within eleven minutes of each other.
Tries from Craig Casey and Chris Cloete, along with points from Joey Carbery and Ben Healy off the tee, helped Munster secure the bonus point win.
