AHEAD of their clash with Granagh Ballingarry, Killeedy captain Karen Mullane reflected on their success last year.
With celebrations after their win last year reeled back due to Covid-19 restrictions, Both Mullane and Killeedy will hellbent on retaining their trophy for at least one more year.
“To bring that cup back again to the parish this year would be absolutely brilliant, what the parish did for us last year was absolutely brilliant, the homecoming and everything. Wasn’t much of a celebration, but it was great to have all the local children cheering us on when we did come home.” Killeedy captain Karen Mullane said.
Killeedy will begin their title retention campaign this Sunday against Granagh Ballingarry, followed by their round 2 clash with Na Piarsaigh. The championship’s opening two rounds are vital for Killeedy’s semi-final chances, as their bye week comes during round 3.
