THE Bons Secours Limerick Senior Hurling Championship kicked off last night with the clash of South Liberties and Blackrock.
Paddy Power have revealed their overall odds for the Limerick SHC with the favourites being Na Piarsaigh at 1/2, Patrickswell at 9/2, Doon at 6/1 and Kilmallock at 13/2.
Those four sides have made up the semi-finals in every year since 2017 and have won ever title since 2010.
Defending champions Na Piarsaigh are favoured and will be aiming for a seventh title since their maiden triumph in 2011.
Patrickswell won titles in 2019 and ’16, while Kilmallock won the Daly Cup in 2010, ’12 and ’14.
Adare are positioned as the best of the rest according to Paddy Power at 20/1 despite suffering relegation in 2020.
Newly promoted Kildimo Pallaskenry are at 40/1 in their first ever year in the top tier.
The SHC continues tonight with Adare taking on Monaleen in Section B Group 2 after South Liberties had 16 points to spare over Blackrock in the opener last night.
Garryspillane will attempt to get one over Blackrock in Group 1 on the following Sunday, September 12th.
Na Piarsaigh’s clash with Kilmallock in Section A Group 1 takes place this Saturday and will be streamed live on Limerick GAA TV. Section A action continues as Patrickswell will take on Doon on Sunday afternoon in Group 2 with that game also to be streamed live.
