MUNSTER will field two XV’s in a 60 minute clash this Saturday in place of their cancelled pre-season fixture against Bath.
As the excitement builds for this unusual yet intriguing fixture, Munster’s most recent squad update gives us a little more insight into who we are likely to see play this coming Saturday.
The update confirms that Munster’s newest signings of lock Jason Jenkins, scrum-half Rowan Osborne and the familiar Simon Zebo will all be available for selection.
Also confirmed is the availability of Greencore Munster Rugby Academy trio Mark Donnelly, Alex Kendellen and Daniel Okeke, who all lined out for the Ireland U20s in their summer Six Nations campaign.
Sadly, the talents of the 10 Munster players who lined out for Ireland in the Vodafone Summer Series will not available for selection.
Also not available for selection is centre Dan Goggin (thigh), full-back Mike Haley (groin) and hooker Kevin O’Byrne (leg) who are all managing injuries, while back-row John Hodnett and lock RG Snyman continue rehab.
