Róisín Ní Ríain rounds out Paralympic Gams with yet another PB

IRELAND’S youngest Paralympian concluded an exceptional games today in the pool in her fifth final.

The Drombana native had her final race of the 2020 Paralympic Games in the SB13 100m Breaststroke. Her time of 1.20.34 was enough for a fourth personal best in just her sixth event of the games.

In the end, the 16-year-old competed in five different finals across the games in what has been an exceptional fortnight for her.

Unfortunately a medal eluded her but certainly time is on her side with attention now turning to fifth year in Gaelcholaiste Luimnigh!

Speaking on her time in Tokyo, she said,

“Looking back I think it’s been amazing. I’ve loved every minute of it and tried to take it all in. And overall it’s been an amazing experience to be part of the Paralympic games.”
