THE Limerick club football season continued over the weekend (20th – 22nd of August), as some of the biggest clubs in the county battled it out for knockout stages in the various competitions.
In the Limerick Senior Football Championship, Fr Caseys, Monaleen and Galte Gaels all booked their places in the knockout stages with opening day wins. Those results condemn Galbally, Ballylanders and St Kierans to the relegation play-offs.
Oola’s last minute win over Na Piarsaigh means the city club must defeat Adare to advance to the quarter-finals.
