Weekend sport | What to watch and where to find it

IT’S the weekend once more, meaning it’s time for us to run you through the sports action this weekend, where it is on, when it is on and where you can find it.

 

Saturday

 

Soccer will return this weekend with the Premier League as Liverpool will face Burnley at 12.30pm on BT Sport 1. Queens Park Rangers v Barnsley will be available on Sky Sports Football as the Championship tie will kick off at 12.30pm. Leeds United will take on the challenge of Everton at 3pm on Premier Sports 1. The 5.30pm kick off will involve Brighton and Watford, the game can be found on Sky Sports Premier League. Match of the Day will provide highlights of all the action at 10.30pm on BBC 1.

Golf this Saturday will include action from the Women’s Open on Sky Sports Golf from 11am. The Czech Masters will be available on Sky Sports Golf Red Button at 12.30pm. The Northern Trust will also be broadcast on the same channel from 6pm.

 

Rugby will involve Argentina taking on South Africa from 4.05pm on Sky Sports Action

 

GAA action will involve Meath v Sligo from 12.45pm and Cork will play Tyrone at 2.30pm in the All-Ireland Minor Football semi-finals, the games will be shown on TG4. All-Ireland Senior quarter-final action will offer two games as Kilkenny will play Wexford at 5pm, followed shortly after with Tipperary facing off against Waterford from 6.45pm. Both games will be live on RTÉ 2. The All-Ireland Minor Hurling Final between Cork and Galway will be shown on TG4 at7.15pm.

 

Cycling fans can tune into Eurosport 1 from 1.35pm for the To La Manga Del Mar Menor.

 

BT Sport 3 will provide the action in Cricket from 3.45pm as West Indies will take on Pakistan.

 

Sunday

 

Premier league action on Sunday will include some interesting fixtures as Southampton will host Manchester United at 2pm, followed by Arsenal v Chelsea at 4.30pm. Coverage of both games will be live on Sky Sports Premier League.

 

The Women’s Open will continue on Sunday from 12pm on Sky Sports Golf while the Czech Masters will also resume from 12pm on Sky Sports Mix. The Northern Trust will continue from 7pm on Sky Sports Golf to finish off the action from Sunday.

 

Horse Racing will involve the Sunday Series on ITV4 from 3.45pm.

 

Cricket will resume but will move from BT Sport 3 to BT Sport 2 at 3.45 as West Indies and Pakistan action will resume.

 

Cycling will be live on Eurosport 1 from 3.30pm as Stage 9: To Alto de Velefique will take place.

 

The highly anticipated GAA event of the year will take place at 3.30pm as Limerick will face Cork in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final and will be available on both Sky Sports Arena and RTÉ 2.
