DETAILS of Limerick’s All-Ireland JFC semi-final against Wicklow have been confirmed.
The game will now take place at 13:00 on Saturday afternoon in Tang in Westmeath.
Wicklow will prove to be a tough nut to crack for Limerick as they reached the final in the competition last year, losing out to Fermanagh.
Something that could play into the Limerick sides’ hands is the fact that Wicklow were forced to extra-time last weekend, coming out on top on a scoreline of 2-14 to 1-11.
Even though Limerick suffered defeat last week, they qualified due to their superior head-to-head record over Derry.
The game will be live streamed, following this link.
Last time out when Wicklow faced Limerick in July, it was not the result the Limerick side were looking for, losing out 1-13 to 1-5.
Manager Donal Ryan knows that Saturday’s game won’t be an easy one and his team will have to be at their best to pull a result out of the bag.
“It’s going to be a big ask but we have nothing to lose. We’re coming in as underdogs so we’ll give it everything we have.”
On the other side of the draw, it’s Carlow and Antrim who will be vying it out for a coveted place in the final.
