
LIMERICK swimmer Roisin Ni Riain has won her first medal in the S1 100m Backstroke at the World Para Swimming Championships in Portugal.
The 16 year-old finished with a time of 1:09.37 to take home a bronze medal.
Ni Riain’s time was 4.52 seconds ahead of fourth place and 3.81 off second place. She returns to action on Day 5 of the championship in the S13 50m Freestyle.
Roisin is a member of Limerick Swimming Club and studies at Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh.
