ON 23 April 2006, Munster traveled to Landsdown Road to face neighbours Leinster in what promised to be a titanic Heineken Cup semi-final.
After two final losses in the previous six years, Munster were favoured for a win against an upcoming Leinster side who had also failed to triumph in the competition up to that point.
With the crowd at feverpitch in a sun soaked Dublin, Munster produced an exquisite performance to advance to a third ever final, winning out 30-6 against the hosts.

Munster would go on to capture a maiden Heineken Cup crown the following month.
