The Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Limerick offer a diverse range of honours-degree programmes to doctorate level.
There are over thirty undergraduate honours degree programmes offered in areas the areas of Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Computing, Technology, Design and Architecture.
In particular, the Faculty has recently reinstated the direct entry to our popular BSc Environmental Science programme for those interested in careers in the application of science in today’s environmental challenges including climate change, greenhouse gases and global warming, water quality and sustainable consumption.
“Two CAO common entries to our science and engineering programmes which have proven particularly popular over the last number of years are LM123 Biological and Chemical Sciences and LM116 Engineering.”
If a student is unsure of what discipline they are really interested in and want to be exposed to as much choice as possible, they can pursue either of these programmes and delay making a final decision through the CAO and continue to pursue many programmes offered in the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
The Faculty will host a number of Graduate Career Information Evenings over the next few weeks for potential students, their parents and teachers on the various degree programmes in Science and Engineering and the types of career opportunities available to graduates of these programmes.
The events which are free and open to all will be hosted virtually on Thursday evenings from 7pm to 8pm where our recent graduates will speak about their experiences on their programme of study, the type of industry they work in and how the skills and knowledge gained in their course has defined their careers.
