FINE Gael councillor Olivia O’Sullivan has made the following statement following plans by Jysk to open a second store in Limerick City:
“I am delighted to welcome plans by Danish retailer Jysk to open their second Limerick store at the Ennis Road Retail Park.
The company has advertised its intention to apply for planning permission to open the last remaining unit at the retail park in Caherdavin.
This is the last empty unit and it will be reassuring to the local community to see all these units filled.
Jysk is a good fit for the Ennis Road Retail Park in terms of its offering, it is a modern retailer in a similar footprint to that of other popular Scandinavian homeware stores which will complement the other businesses out here as well as the offering in the Jetland across the road from the retail park.
It is great to see more employment being created locally and those retail jobs will be very welcome.”
