VHI today announced the official opening of its Vhi 360 Health Centre in Limerick. Situated in Raheen Business Park, the Centre is open to all Vhi customers and offers rapid access to urgent care for minor injury and illness, as well as a range of health and wellbeing services delivered by a multidisciplinary team.
The opening of the Vhi 360 Health Centre in Limerick is an evolution of the successful Vhi SwiftCare Clinic service, which has grown rapidly over the past 12 years. The new two storey 700 square metre facility will provide quality healthcare to Vhi customers in the Mid-West 365 days of the year.
Vhi will employ 22 new experienced staff for the Limerick Centre. The roles include GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Physiotherapists, Integrative Health Specialists / Health Coaches and Administration staff.
In addition to offering the broad range of minor illnesses and injury services which are synonymous with SwiftCare, the new facility will also offer health assessment and health coaching with a focus on intervention and prevention services; primary care services for those attending the clinic, as well as physiotherapy, radiology and orthopaedic follow up.
Speaking today,
Dr Lynda Keaveney, Vhi 360 Health Centre, Clinical Director said: “Our mission at Vhi is to help our customers and patients lead longer, stronger, healthier lives.
“We have a proven track record in introducing innovative, customer-focussed services which helps to provide a more efficient and better patient experience. We have been consistent in our efforts to grow and add to our services, responding to and anticipating customer needs with a view to delivering on our mission.
“Our investment in the new Vhi 360 Health Centre in Limerick will help to bring more services to our customers – not only for when they have a minor illness or injury but also to help them to manage their overall health and wellbeing.” she said.
“This is a unique time for the Irish health system, and we know that the COVID-19 pandemic has meant that some people are delaying seeking access to healthcare that they need.
“Today, we want to remind our customers and patients that our services are still available to them. In many cases we can treat conditions via our telemedicine service online so customers don’t have to leave their homes.
“If an in-person consultation is required at this time, we’re running an appointment service so patients can be guaranteed safe movement through the Centre. We look forward to welcoming customers from Limerick and beyond over the coming weeks and months.” she added.
To manage access at this time and for patient safety services are appointment-based.
