Hehir and Rooney Leave Treaty United

TREATY United Senior Womenโ€™s and U-17โ€™s managers Dave Rooney and Irene Hehir have today left their roles at the club with Treaty United expressing their gratitude to the pair.

Dave Rooney was in charge of the Treaty United senior womenโ€™s side in their maiden season in the Womenโ€™s National League. He led the club to a 9th place finish in the league along with an FAI Cup Semi-Final appearance which they lost 2-0 to Cork City. Rooney had a wealth of experience due to his involvement with Limerick FC at both senior menโ€™s and womenโ€™s level in the past decade.

Irene Hehir was in charge of the U-17โ€™s team for the 2020 campaign but had also been heavily involved in womenโ€™s soccer in the mid-west region for a number of years. Rooney and Hehir were at the forefront of improvements in the womenโ€™s game in the region.
