AFTER claiming her third successive All-Ireland 60×30 Softball title and fourth overall in October, Limerick’s Martina McMahon has been nominated for the Irish Times Sportswoman of the Year Award.
The list is comprised of the Monthly Sportswomen of the Month winners with McMahon taking the September prize.

After her All-Ireland win in October, Handball Association President Dessie Keegan said.
McMahon is currently at the peak of her powers and the reward would reflect another incredible chapter in her already storied career.
The 2020 Sportswoman of the Year will be announced in the awards ceremony beginning at 12:30pm on Friday, December 18th and broadcasting live on irishtimes.com/sport
