WATCH: “We don’t mind who the public want to win”- Morrissey says Limerick focused on self

WHILE they were the darlings of the nation in 2018, Limerick will come into the 2020 with everyone firmly against them as they face a Waterford side who are without a Liam MacCarthy medal since 1959.

With roles reversed from the final two years ago, Limerick’s Tom Morrissey says he is paying little heed to the public’s perception with the squad fully focused on victory in Croke Park.

“Most neutrals do go for the underdog. But it wouldn’t really play in our heads too much. We’re focused everyday, we go out on our job to do.

“We don’t let external noise or anything like that impact out performance because at the end of the day we don’t mind who the public want to win.

“We have our own objectives and we want to hit them and make sure we are successful.”
