IRELAND kicked off their Guinness Series Autumn Nations Cup campaign with a convincing 32-9ย victory over Wales at the Aviva Stadium.

The victory was Irelandโ€™s fourth on the bounce over Wales as the 2019 Grand Slam Champions slump in form continued. Wayne Pivacโ€™s side have now lost their last six games which is certain to pile more pressure on the beleaguered coach.

The result came at a cost, however,ย with out-half Johnny Sexton suffering a hamstring strainย following a penalty kick. Sexton confirmed the hamstring strain in the post match interview and will undergo a scan tomorrow.

Irelandโ€™s tries came form Quinn Roux and debutant James Lowe with kicks from Sexton, Billy Burns and Conor Murray. Lesinterโ€™s Caelan Dorris was superb and turned in a man of the match performance.
