WATCH: Limerick Ladies Footballers advance to All-Ireland semi-final

LIMERICK followed up their first round win over Derry to advance to the All-Ireland Ladies Junior Football semi-final after they beat Antrim 2-8 to 0-5 in Clane.

They will meet either Carlow, Fermanagh or Wicklow in the semi-final in three weeks time.

Cathy Mee opened the goalscoring for Limerick with a free in the seventh minute that pushed Limerick 1-1 to 0-0 clear early on.

Antrim would notch 1-1 on the bounce to leave it level at the first water break.

The sides exchanged scores after the restart but two on the bounce for Limerick gave them a 1-4 to 1-2 advantage at the half.

Limerick would hit the ground running in the second half and Amy Ryan had their second goal within five minutes of the restart.

She would add another minutes later to give Limerick a 2-6 to 1-2 lead after 40 minutes.

The sides would exchange scores prior to the second half water break as Limerick held a 2-7 to 1-3 lead.

From here Limerick would show composure to see out the game as the conditions worsened.
