TREATY United ended a long wait for victory when they defeated Bohemians 4-5 at the Oscar Traynor Grounds in Dublin on Saturday afternoon.
Treaty manager Dave Rooney could have been forgiven for fearing the worst when his young charges went 3-1 down as the game approached half time.
Goals from Shaunagh Newman, Aoife Robinson and Sophie Watters sent Bohs into a strong lead but Aoife Horgan pulled a vital goal back before the referee blew the whistle.
Treaty showed superb character to add two second half goals and take the lead as Gillian Keenan added to her first half goal and Jenna Slattery scored the away side’s fourth goal.
It looked as though it would be heartbreak for Treaty when Aoife Robinson netted her second of the afternoon to level the game for the home side but Chloe Connolly grabbed a dramatic injury time winner to give the Limerick based side their first win in phase 2 of the Women’s National League.
