IT has been a rapid rise to success for the Limerick/Clare rap/spoken word artist since the release of her EP Duel Citizenship in early 2019. Successful collaborations with Sim Simma Soundsystem and James Vincent McMorrow, that career changing gig for Other Voices at the National Gallery of Ireland and dropping the track of the Summer with ‘Chaila’ and soundtracking the new Littlewoods ad campaign.
‘Go Bravely’ is Denise Chaila’s 11 track debut mixtape released on the independent Narolane record label and produced by MuRli (Rusangano Family) where the artist makes her introduction with jazz influenced flows and glitchy beats examining issues of identity, confidence and empowerment.
‘Go Bravely’ is a smart, genre-fluid compilation of the 27-year-old’s talents, charisma and humour and will be on many Best of The Year lists come December.
