THE importance of hygiene in every element of operations at the Castletroy Park Hotel was highlighted by the top marks achieved by hotel manager Fiona O’Shea Stack in recent FETAC course in Infection Prevention and Control.
She received a distinction in the Level 5 course, having taken up the challenge in light of the ongoing Covid 19 crisis and her latest qualification complements the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work diploma she was awarded by University of Limerick.
“The health and wellbeing of our team and our guests is paramount at the hotel and it was important to ensure we had all the right tools and processes to reach the highest industry standards,” she told the Limerick Post.
Castletroy Park has implemented several new measures to safeguard public safety. These include a contactless temperature check on arrival and a one-way system throughout the hotel. The stringent hygiene practices have generated very positive feedback from guests since fully reopening to the public.
The entire workforce has undergone training in line with Fáilte Ireland’s Covid-19 Safety Charter and the hotel was one of the first in the region to be signed up to this charter. Guests have also remarked that the hotel’s traditional warm, friendly welcome has not been compromised as the team still offers the same excellent service they are renowned for.
