Power outages across Limerick City and County

STORM Ellen has caused a number of power outages across the City and County.

The yellow weather warning storm hit the Treaty County from 11pm last night with gusts of up to 143km/hour.

Significant damage was caused with fallen trees and debris across roads as well as the loss of electricity in some parts.

ESB Networks warned that some repairs could take a few days due to the amount of faults across the entire country.

It is estimated that up to 130,000 homes, farms and businesses are without power across Ireland.
