Preview

Guinness PRO14 rugby returns with a bang following a wait of over five months and, with an abbreviated finish to the 2019/20 season lying ahead, there is plenty at stake in the penultimate round of the regular season before the coveted Final Series.

Games postponed prior to the suspension of play have been deemed 0-0 draws, leaving each team with two rounds of derby games left to play, with the results of Round 14 and 15 matches counting towards final positions.

Munster face Leinster this Saturday and Connacht next Sunday at the Aviva Stadium. The province lie second in Conference B, two points behind leaders Edinburgh, eight points ahead of third-placed Scarlets and 10 points ahead of Connacht in fourth place.

Edinburgh’s final two games are both against Glasgow Warriors.

The top two sides in the Conference will qualify for the semi-finals, which will take place on the first weekend of September.

The team who finish second in Munster’s Conference will face Leinster and the Conference winners will be pitted against either Ulster or Glasgow.

The game will be live on eir Sport, Premier Sports 1, DAZN, pro14.tv with deferred coverage on TG4.
