That was the underlying message from a webinar hosted by Dell Technologies and Technologies Ireland in which businesses leaders, technologists and HR professionals outlined the range of opportunities available to .
Senior managers from Dell Technologies highlighted existing supports open to eligible Irish SMEs to help fund the critical technology needs of a remote workforce.
Dell Technologies has rolled out a payment flexibility programme which includes zero interest rates for all server, storage and networking solutions and up to a 180-day payment deferral. The company has made $9 billion available this year to help fund IT investment by businesses.
Dell Technologies Ireland managing director Jason Ward said that many businesses have had to cope with adapting to working remotely for the first time while also managing their entire workforce.

From sharing our own decade long experience of managing a remote workforce to providing the technology needed to support employees working from home, Dell Technologies has been helping businesses in recent months to accelerate their digital transformation journeys.”

Technology Ireland Director Una Fitzpatrick said that maintaining a connected workforce was now a priority for businesses in all sectors.
“Although many businesses now have employees working from home, many are still struggling with how to successfully manage a remote workforce and protect the health and safety of employees working from home,” she added.
“The webinar provided an opportunity to highlight the role technology can play in not only maintaining workforce productivity but ensuring that innovation continues to flourish – irrespective of where employees are located.
“The lessons learnt from Dell Technologies’ own journey of flexible working can empower others to create a culture and environment that enables employees to do their best work whether at home or returning to the office.”
