LIMERICK comedy star Karl Spain will MC a new one hour online comedy show featuring guests Rich Hall, Mike Wilmot and Sean Hegarty this weekend. Previous shows from Karl on Friday Night Comedy KARLnival have amassed over 15,000 views online and is presented by Galway venue Roisin Dubh.
Friday Night Comedy KARLnival from 8pm on May 29 will be a Zoom only event giving the night a “live feel” say organisers.
“With 2-way real-time engagement this can feel just like a real comedy club, but in the comfort of your home. The comedians who have performed so far have loved it, saying how great it is to once again interact with a live audience and to hear the sound of laughter. It’s not the real thing, but it’s a great substitute during lock down.”
Rich Hall’s acclaimed deadpan style has established him as a master of absurdist irony and is a regular favourite for Irish audiences. Toronto-born stand-up Mike Wilmot is a double award winning Canadian comedian and actor (It’s All Gone Pete Tong). Sean Hegarty is Ireland’s Funniest Joke Winner as seen on TV3s Ireland’s Got Talent.
