Limerick based Lou McMahon joins Hollywood’s finest musicians

Lou McMahon

Singer-songwriter Lou McMahon has joined dozens of Hollywood film and TV musicians, composers and singers for an emotional rendition of a mashup of Bridge Over Troubled Water and What a Wonderful World.

The high quality production and video will benefit the Motion Picture Television #COVID19 Emergency Relief Fund.
Lou McMahon’s part begins at 35 seconds into the track, which was produced by composer Shie Rozow (Avengers: Age of Ultron). Lou is joined by Matt Malley of Counting Crows, John Hatton of the Brian Setzer and a multitude of Grammy winners/nominees in the business of making music for film and TV.

Originally from County Clare, Lou is a published singer/songwriter and a music journalist contributing to Culture File on RTE Lyric FM. Lou’s involvement with this fundraising drive is the result of a lot of hard work and a bit of luck.
While gigging as a featured soloist musician with Princess Cruises sailing from LA to Alaska, a chance meeting with some people in Hollywood’s entertainment business has led to Lou McMahon gaining a foothold among tinseltown’s creative talent.
“ I told them my dreams, they loved my singing voice and they are happy to help me out. That’s how I got involved!”
“I have been receiving recognition from Hollywood composers and session players who are involving me in their projects.”

Later in 2020 Lou will be releasing new material, gigging and heading to Los Angeles.

“But firstly, during this difficult time, I will be performing live from my home with fellow musicians from around the world. I hope that this can bring solace to people who are struggling through this pandemic.
