CRITICALLY acclaimed Limerick trio Bleeding Heart Pigeons have announced that a new album is about to be released.
“We’re thrilled to finally share new music with you – it’s been an awfully long time, we can hardly believe it ourselves,” they told fans this week.
The band, Mícheál Keating (vocals/guitar), Cathal Histon (synths, samples and vocals) and Brendan McInerney (drums) first formed as teenagers in Kilderry and picked up positive press for the sweeping and inventive dream music of their debut EP and the track ‘Visiting Myself In Hospital’ back in December 2013.
The band signed to Virgin EMI and their debut album ‘Is’ came out in 2016.
The band’s new album called ‘Stir’ will be released on Friday May 22.
‘Real Connection’ is the lead single from Stir. The song is a funky upbeat anthem set to light up the dance floor and is their most accessible single yet.
Bleeding Heart Pigeons were due to perform in Limerick this weekend to announce the new record.
“We were meant to be playing a show in Limerick tonight to share this moment in person, but sadly, it wasn’t to be. Hope everyone is doing okay – sending our best wishes to you all.”
‘Real Connection’ is out now on Hlym Records.
