Shannon Heritage operations suspended from Friday evening

SHANNON Group has taken the decision to suspend operations atย all of its Shannon Heritage visitorย attractionsย from 5.00pm this evening until Sunday, March 29.
Mary Considine, CEO, Shannon Group said employee and customer health and well-being is the group’s “primary conern”.
“In their best interests, and in line withย recommendations from the Chief Medical Officer at the Department of Health,ย we haveย taken the decision to temporarilyย close all of ourย sites from this evening until the 29thย of March,โ€ she said.
Niall Oโ€™Callaghan, Managing Director of Shannon Heritage noted the group’s partners and employees were informed this morning and Shannon Group “are working with them on measures to minimise the impact at this difficult time”.ย 
“We are liaising withย allย our customers toย keep themย informed given the fluid nature of the circumstances,” said O’Callaghan, adding, “ย Weย will continue toย monitor theย situation and take the advice ofย health officials.โ€ย 
Theย temporary suspension involves the followingย Shannon Heritageย sites: King Johnโ€™s Castle inย Limerick; Bunratty Castle & Folk Park,ย retail outlets at the Cliffs of Moher and Adare Heritage Centre,ย and also the operations itย manages in Dublin, Malahide Castle & Gardens; the Casino Model Railway Museum,ย Newbridge House &ย Farm, and GPO Witness Historyย Museum. The suspension also includes its medieval banqueting operations at Bunratty, Knappogue and Dunguaire Castles and its traditional Irish Night at Bunratty Folk Park.
