LIMERICK businesses are fighting back as the sixth case or Coronavirus was confirmed in the Republic.
With four confirmed cases in one family in Clare bringing the virus uncomfortably close to home, larger businesses in particular, are implementing measures to try to keep staff and customers safe.
Two big Limerick-based companies have cancelled all non-essential foreign business travel and one has implemented a no hand-shake policy.
Another has set up it’s employees in smaller teams and told vulnerable employees to work from home.
Many smaller businesses arte drawing up plans to cope if any of their staff is hot with the illness.
A statement on the latest cases was expected today from the University Hospital Limerick, where, it is believed, the four members of one family are being treated.
There has been no comment or clarification on claims that one of the four is a healthcare worker.
