12 points go to….the favourite to win Eurovision 2020 revealed

-

Lithuania are the new favourites to win the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam this May after a large increase of support flooded in for their first ever victory.

Wednesday morning resulted in BoyleSports’ traders cutting the odds on Lithuania into 10/1 from 33/1 following some speculative bets, but further support saw their odds tumble further into 11/4.

The Even money favourites Romania now eased out to 8/1 joint second favourites alongside Sweden.

‘The Roop’ have been announced as Lithuania’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest with their entry song called ‘On Fire’ and the three band members are proving a popular choice with punters.

Bulgaria are another country the subject of a gamble with their odds plummeting into 12/1 from 20/1 on Tuesday night. They have yet to win the Eurovision Song Contest but came close in 2017 when finishing as the runners-up to Portugal, who are 14/1 to win this year.

Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “This year’s contest will be the 65th edition and takes place in Rotterdam, Netherlands, following their victory last year. Netherlands are 25/1 to win back-to-back titles but it’s Lithuania who are the current front runners at 11/4, cut gradually all the way down from 33/1 and are now our biggest liability in the market.”
