FIVE-month old Sadhbh Moynihan is about to become a celebrity as Limerick’s youngest model.
But she hasn’t let any of it go to her head and smiled all the way through her photo-shot as the star of the new Caldescene baby-powder rebranding, her mother, Susan Hennessey told the Limerick Post.
Nor did little Sadhbh come to modelling through the usual channels of proud parents sending their child’s portfolio to various model agencies.
“A friend of a friend said Caldescene were searching for a baby to feature in their new campaign and we thought why not?
It was a great excuse for a day out n Dublin and Sadhbh loved it, said Susan, originally from Malahide in Dublin and now living with her photogenic daughter and husband in Dooradoyle.
Caldesene Powder, beloved of generations of parents as a way of preventing nappy rash, has moved to give its well-know branding an up to date look.
Sadhbh’s mam and her dad, Michael Moynihan were in agreement that she would do the shoot.
” I believe in the brand, otherwise we wouldn’t have done it,” said Susan
But Susan has no notions that he smiling daughter is now on the brink of a future career of pouting into the camera.
Not with an aunt – Síle Moynihan – who was selected as Limerick camogie player of the decade in 2014 and a dad from Ballynanty who plays hurling for South Liberties.
“I would say we’re more likely to see her in a sporting jersey than on the catwalk, but who knows?” said Susan.
