LISTEN: Ciarán Carey “Limerick were able to find grass and space with ease”

Having looked at Limerick in their first two games of the National Hurling League the only area that John Kiely will be honing in on is their mental attitude and the top two inches.

Obviously, they were lacking that in the first half against Tipperary, second half very good. Last Sunday against Galway they laid they foundations in the first 10 minutes.

They blew Galway off the field I thought in every department of the field and dominated. They were able to find space at will and at their ease.

John Kiely will be sitting back and sizing up what they have done to date and I would imagine that he will be very pleased and very happy.

Limerick started the game very well and Galway kind of came back into it with Joe Canning slotting over a couple of frees.

He then got injured and was a big loss for Galway. The big learning for me was that anytime Galway put on a bit of a squeeze, Limerick had buckets of energy in the engine to up the ante at any stage.
