Murderfolk: Amigo The Devil plays this Saturday

Amigo the Devil is the purveyor of indie horror rock, loosely alt-Americana songs about death, serial killers, murder  – think Folk, Punk, Outlaw Country. It is described as ‘murderfolk’ by the man himself, known to his folks as Danny.

Born and raised in Miami, Danny left home at 17 and went out into the world to find himself, finally finding a home in the brewing industry.

Danny was influenced by a wide diverse mix of music, from The Get Up Kids to Tom Waits; Napalm Death, Testament; Carcass, Godspeed You!; Black Emperor, Thrice; The Adolescents, Killing Joke; ISIS, The Album Leaf and Fiona Apple.

Support on the night comes from Limerick’s Niall Quinn (The Hitchers / Theme Tune Boy), no stranger to the themes of death and murder in his songwriting – hear ‘Liver’, ‘Killed It With My Bared Hands’ or ‘Tailrace’.

Amigo the Devil plays Dolan’s this Saturday February 1.
