Tonight at the Museum

Thursday 9 at 8pm, Pery Square.

THE monthly On the Nail literary gathering takes place this evening, Thursday January 9, at its new home of the Peopleโ€™s Museum of Limerick in Pery Square. Expect a fun night of theatrics with an accomplished actor and writer to anchor the event. Myles Breen is fresh from his brilliant turn in Specsavers Limerick Panto โ€˜Aladdinโ€™ as Widow Twankey.

โ€œThis month we are delighted to welcome actor, writer, director Myles Breen and the poetry of Oscar Wilde, plus the open-mic session,โ€ reports organiser Dominic Taylor. โ€œMyles will reprise excerpts from his recent one man show on the life of Oscar Wilde, โ€˜A Wilde Fanโ€™. He is bringing us the poetry of the great man himself. Join us for this unique presentation.

โ€œEveryoneย is invited to take part in the open-mic after the main event with poets, storytellers, musicians and writers. Even if you donโ€™t write you are welcome to bring something along to read. The night begins at 8pm and admission is free. So join us and make this event something special.โ€

On the Nail is a vehicle organised by Limerick Writersโ€™ Centre. LWC is unfunded currently and depends on sales of books and donations for revenue. Find out more at this link
