“Just being home with my family and friends (and dogs) is why being home is so special for me! Especially after moving to New York three months ago, I appreciate my time with them even more now. Really looking forward to relaxing & enjoying the break”

“When you live abroad for as long as I have, you truly value the meaning of the phrase“no place like home”. I left Limerick eighteen years ago to live in the southwest of Scotland.

The best part about coming home to Limerick at Christmas time is seeing my family and friends. They are always excited to see us at Christmas.

There’s nothing better than feeling loved by your lot! Couple that with our traditional Christmas Eve sesh in Nancys, life doesn’t get much better. Not to mention the ham sandwiches afterwards! Also, I love how the city has progressed. It’s absolutely beautiful – especially around Christmas. I’m home on the 29th this year and my week is already filled with family and friend dates. Absolutely cannot wait to see everyone. Luimneach Abu!”

“I work in Switzerland so the reason coming home for xmas is so special is that you get to spend time with your family and close friends who I wouldn’t get to see that often due to working and living abroad,so I value the few weeks I get at xmas greatly. Plus the craic in the local and in town is also a bonus.”
