Shannon chamber delivers on skills training

ELEVEN executives from companies in the Mid-West region have acquired new leadership capabilities as a result of undertaking a year-long Diploma in High-Performance Leadership programme with Shannon Chamber Skillnet.

The programme, which was delivered by Career Decisions, was accredited by Technological University Dublin (TUD) to Level 8 National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ).

The eleven executives, who were presented with their diplomas by TUD Assistant Head of School Colin Hughes at a conferring ceremony in Dromoland Castle, included representatives from DB Schenker, Mincon, Oshima, Laya Healthcare, PM Group, ESB Moneypoint, AIP Thermoform Packaging, Shannon Heritage and Cpl.

Shannon Chamber chief executive Helen Downes said that the  Skillnet group was delighted to organise this highly regarded Level 8 Diploma in High-Performance Leadership in conjunction with Career Decisions Ireland and Technological University Dublin.

“The tremendous investment in time involved in undertaking this programme will deliver quantifiable payback in the years ahead. Leadership is fundamental in any organisation and when the leaders themselves undertake training at this level, the associated message that permeates throughout the organisation is very strong.
