TAKING place at Limerick Writers’ Centre, 12 Barrington Street, a workshop on the Fundamentals of Playwriting will entail an introduction to the craft of writing for playwriting.
Eleanor McSherry will show how to develop characters for the stage, writing scenes and dialogue, consider structure, format, rewriting techniques, writing a treatment and of course, how to sell your script. This workshop takes place Saturday November 16, 10am to 5pm.
Eleanor has a Bachelors Degree in Media and Communications and Philosophy. She has facilitated many courses with the Limerick Writers’ Centre since 2010. She is not only a multi-shortlisted film short script writer,
Co-founder of arts collective L.A.C.E., Eleanor McSherry teaches Creative Writing at LCFE including playwriting. She lectures with UCC and Hibernia College Dublin and has guest-lectured at LIT.
Again on Saturday November 23, she will lead on teaching the Fundamentals of Radio Drama Scripts, again in workshop at 12 Barrington Street.
The workshop will look at the craft of writing for radio – how to develop characters for audio, writing the individual scene, dialogue, structure, format, rewriting techniques, writing a radio treatment and how to sell your script.
