Unity Gospel Choir is set to launch a CD in aid of Pieta House.
The CD titled โLove Shine a Lightโ is dedicated to the memory of Brendan (Benny) McNamara and Yasmin Lee Williams who tragically lost their lives to suicide.
The CD includes a number of songs from Unity Gospel Choir as well as a song performed by 17-year-old Chloe OโHalloran.
“We recorded ‘Love Shine a Light’, and we are giving all the proceeds to Pieta House,” said Gretta McCormack-O’Shea, founder of the Unity Gospel Choir.
Gretta said the group felt it would be a good idea to help “keep the existing services going”. The Katrina and The Waves song was chosen as the group sing it every year at the ‘Darkness Into Light’ walk.
Speaking at the launch, Councillor James Collins encouraged the people of Limerick to support a cause โso close to everybodyโs heart.โ
The official launch of โLove Shine a Lightโ will take place Monday, November 11 in Maggi Chooโs, with all proceeds going to Pieta House.
