AUSTRIAN airline, Lauda hasย announced a new Shannon route to Vienna, with a twice-weekly service commencing in March 2020, as part of Ryanairโs extended Shannon Summer 2020 schedule.
Shannon consumers and visitors can now book their summer holidays to Vienna as far out as October 2020, flying on the lowest fares and with the greenest/cleanest airline group in Europe, with the lowest CO2 emissions.
Vienna was voted the most livable city on the planet for the tenth time. Thereโs no better time of the year to discover Viennaโs world-renowned art, culture and culinary delights than in Summer. Visit the Schรถnbrunn Palace, St. Stephenโs Cathedral or one of the numerous exhibitions by national and international artists.
The announcement will see the first scheduled Vienna service ever at Shannon and the first time that Lauda will have operated at Shannon. Flights will run twice weekly from the end of March 2020 on Wednesdayโs and Saturdayโs.

The new Shannon service has been secured with the assistance of Tourism Ireland and the increased route development fund for regional airports announced in Budget 2020 is a significant factor.
