THE National String Quartet Foundation is touring outstanding ensembles around the country this Autumn in the second year of their supportive mission to foster this sector in classical music. A concert of three parts will take place in Belltable this Friday October 4 at 8pm.
The Vanbrugh is now Keith Pascoe, Simon Aspell and master cellist Christopher Marwood. They will be joined by violinist David McElroy and Ed Creedon on viola to perform two great string quintets. These are Mozart’s ‘G minor Quintet’ from 1787 and Dvorak’s upbeat ‘American Quintet’, written 1891.
Opening the concert for these five musicians, Belltable welcomes the Danu Quartet playing Shostakovich. Book on venue manager www.limetreetheatre.ie
