THE Frank McCourt museum on Hartstonge Street, Limerick will close its doors on October 30th for good.
In a statement on Facebook, the curator, Una Heaton said it can no longer stay open due to lack of funding.
“It is with great sadness that without funding we cannot modernise or sustain staffing and bills.” the post read.
The museum, which is dedicated to the Pulitzer prize winner is ranked at number 6 on TripAdvisor of the things to do in Limerick.
“We hope your memories will stay with you for a long time as will mine. Please join us this coming Sunday for one of our final events,” Una added.
