Na Piarsaigh joined Patrickswell in the semi final of the 2019 Limerick SHC following a 3-24 to 3-12 victory over Doon in Kilmallock.

The Caherdavin side led by four at the break, but upped the pace significantly after the break.

The fit again Adrian Breen proved to be as dangerous as ever with two goals in the second half.

Darragh O’Donovan struck a penalty on the stroke of half time for Doon’s first goal, and although further goals followed from Cathal McNamara and Pat Ryan, Na Piarsaigh were never in danger of being caught.

Elsewhere, Patrickswell, who had already booked their spot in the last four, drew with Adare at the LIT Gaelic Grounds.

The ‘Well came back from a seven point half time deficit without county players Aaron Gillane and Cian Lynch to earn a 1-24 to 1-24 draw.

Jack Kelliher kept Patrickswell in touch through frees, but it was Josh Considine’s goal 17 minutes into the second half that brought Ciarán Carey’s side back into the contest.

A Kelliher free tied the game up heading into added time, before Andrew Carroll’s point from play looked to have seen Patrickswell to an unlikely victory.

However, Willie Griffin’s free in added time earned Adare a draw that saw them finish fifth in group one.

Elsewhere, Kilmallock were victorious against South Liberties on a 1-18 to 1-14 scoreline in Bruff.

Jake Mulcahy proved to be Kilmallock’s hero with a late goal that saw the Balbec into a quarter final.

Liberties trailed by two points at the break, but John Hickey’s goal helped them into a surprise lead early in the second half.

However, Liberties ran out of steam as the second half drew to a close and Kilmallock took full advantage. The defeat confirms Liberties’ return to group two in 2020.
