FLOODING in Limerick has resulted in houses in the Coonagh area being extensively damaged with some evacuated after the banks of the River Shannon were breached following heavy rainfall and high tides over the weekend.
The pitch at Na Piarsaigh GAA club has also been heavily damaged with videos circulating on social media showing part the club’s pitch submerged in the flood.
