SHANNON Airport has announced operations are temporarily suspended this morning, Thursday, August 15, due to an incident involving a Boeing 763 aircraft.
The airport announced it still recommends passengers travelling through Shannon Airport to continue with check-in As they work to remove the aircraft from the scene of the incident.
The airport has announced that some flights have been cancelled, flights EI 380 and EI 381 Heathrow being the two flights named as of 9:30 am.
As of 10 am, the Shannon Airport remains closed and has advised passengers to contact their airlines.
