Jazz vibes for free

Concerts on July 24 and again July 26.

WORD from John Daly of Limerick Jazz Society is that Limerick will benefit from two public and free concerts by jazz greats David Friedman and Toni Miceli.

David Friedman is world renowned player of the vibraphone and has played and recorded with a contemporaneous who’s who. Tony Miceli is an old friend to the city, touring here annually to teach the vibraphone in masterclass (at Peter Dee Academy of Music, July 23-27) and play free concerts.

Set aside time for Limerick City Library and The Granary’s welcome for Friedman and Miceli playing as The Modern Irish Quartet. The musicians will be joined by Dave Redmond on bass and John Daly on drums on Wednesday July 24, 8pm. All are welcome to this seated concert.

Friedman and Miceli then play a lunchtime gig, again for free, at Limerick City Gallery of Art on Friday July 26. See ya!
