That Wine Goose (to) Chase….

Engage with Susan Boyle, May 3 and 4.

‘A WINE Goose Chase’ is an eloquent, elegant and factual run through Ireland’s 2,000 year history with wine. It’s also a deeply personal look at wine and the art of drinking it, sharing tastings with the audience who will gather cabaret-style at the Basement at Belltable, O’Connell Street. Join the wine geese this Friday 3 and Saturday 4 at 8pm.

Expect substantial fare to watch and listen to, given that our little country gave rise to Chateax Dillon, Kirwan, Haut-Marbuzet (house of McCarthy), Leoville-Barton and more, not to mention the Hennessy dynasty.

Susan Boyle leads ‘A Wine Goose Chase’ as writer and performer. She’s also a teacher in the arts and in this role, immensely watchable – Arts Page saw it first in 2013 and  her show is still in demand.

“‘A Wine Goose Chase’ is about Susan Boyle and her great love of wine,” commented Maeve McGrath when she welcomed this show then at Theatre at The Savoy, with PayDay Productions. “She learnt her history of wine from her Gran who used to talk to her about it and the Irish association. It’s a historical journey, about 50 minutes long and she tells it in a delightful manner  – it is fascinating.”
